Fall in love with fall!

This time of the year brings a more refined, yet no less dynamic dimension to the garden.  Rich jewel tones emerge creating a quieter more introspective feel to the landscape.  We do love our pops of color,  so let us show you how to  extend  fresh color and texture into fall and winter!

Now Hiring… Want a seasonal job selling Christmas joy?

If you are willing and able to work  outside, get rained on, stock, sell and carry out cut trees, and go home smelling of fragrant pine needles, please come see us!

In fall, most flowers begin retreating into the wings and foliage and berries take center stage.  Late summer annuals will still be in their vibrant glory, so enhance them with pansies and violas, berried hypericum, majestic millets, rudbeckias, ferns, heathers/heaths and autumnal-colored heucheras.

Did you know Fall is the perfect time to start your veggie garden?   Late planted crops mean fewer insects and disease, less perspiration, and an extended harvest season in milder climates.   Fall Veggie Gardens

Fall Containers:  It’s a great time to plant, given the prospect of cooler wetter weather which will help your plants settle in and get comfy in their new home.

Fall Annuals 1

Deciduous trees and shrubs transform into these fiery gems in the landscape!  Japanese Maples and dogwood shrubs get ready to shed their leaves to reveal their colorful and graceful branching structure in winter.
